Former pupils of Canolfan Brynffynnon pupil referral unit in Felinheli are being urged to come forward after seven more survivors joined a civil claim against Cyngor Gwynedd.

A former pupil of Canolfan Brynffynnon pupil referral unit in Felinheli says she has been left devastated after allegedly still not receiving compensation agreed by Cyngor Gwynedd nearly two months ago.

The vast majority of legal claims brought by former pupils of Formby High School over sexual abuse by former teacher Ian Farquharson have now been settled. All but three of the 66 cases have been resolved in agreement with Sefton Council’s legal representatives.

Solicitor Katherine Yates from Andrew Grove & Co Solicitors which is representing victims of paedophile headteacher Neil Foden, has called for an independent investigation into why authorities failed to act.
