Stubton Hall

Stubton Hall School opened in 1952 as a boy's school and became a school for both boys and girls in 1982. It catered for day pupils and boarders until it closed permanently in 2003. The school was owned and managed by Lincolnshire County Council.

David Taylor was employed at Stubton Hall between 1975 and 1995. He was promoted to Deputy Headmaster in 1982. In July 2021 Taylor was sentenced to 19 years and six months imprisonment for three counts of rape, four counts of indecent assault on a girl and two counts of assault/ill-treatment/neglect. The offences were committed against former pupils of Stubton Hall. 

Raymond Longley was a member of care staff employed from 1982 until 1997 when he retired. In July 2021 Longley was sentenced to four years imprisonment for four counts of indecent assault against former pupils of Stubton Hall.

This firm currently acts for over 45 former pupils of Stubton Hall School who were physically, emotionally and in some cases sexually abused whilst at the School. Legal proceedings in the civil Court are being contemplated against Lincolnshire County Council after the trial and conviction of the two former staff members. All claims are being funded on a 'no win, no fee basis'.

We wish to make it clear that the present occupiers of Stubton Hall are nothing to do with either the criminal or civil case.
